Clear Channel Sells 17 Maine Stations

CLEAR CHANNEL is selling 17 MAINE stations to LOUIS VITALI and BRUCE BIETTE's BLUEBERRY BROADCASTING, LLC for $11 million.
In one transaction, CLEAR CHANNEL subsidiary CAPSTAR TX LP is selling Talk WCME/BOOTHBAY HARBOR, Sports trimulcast WIGY/MADISON-WRKD-A/ROCKLAND-WFAU-A/GARDINER (FOX SPORTS MAINE), Rock WTOS/SKOWHEGAN, Country WMCM (REAL COUNTRY 103.3)/ROCKLAND, Oldies WABK/GARDINER, and AC WKCG (STAR 101)/AUGUSTA to BLUEBERRY. In another filing, CC LICENSES LP is selling Talk WABI-A and Top 40 WWBX (B-97)/BANGOR, AC WKSQ (KISS 94.5)/ELLSWORTH, Talk WVOM/HOWLAND, Country WBFB/BELFAST, Oldies WGUY (OLDIES 102.1)/DEXTER, Alternative WFZX (THE FOX)/SEARSPOINT, Country WLKE (LUCKY 99)/BAR HARBOR, and Classic Hits WQSS (102.5 THE PEAK)/CAMDEN to BLUEBERRY. BLUEBERRY will separately spin WGUY and WFZX off to a trust to satisfy FCC divestiture requirements.
In other deals filed with the FCC, ELBA RADIO COMPANY is selling Classic Country WELB-A (HOMETOWN COUNTRY 1350)/ELBA, AL to RHETT S. SNELLGROVE for $60,000; and EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is assigning K229AZ/HASTINGS, NE to EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. for no stated consideration.
