CARY H. SIMPSON's ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN NETWORK is selling Top 40 WGMR (G 101)/TYRONE, PA plus FM translators in ALTOONA and LEWISTOWN, PA to FOREVER BROADCASTING for $2.5 million including a 10 year non-compete.
In other sales filed with the FCC, SUMITON BROADCASTING, INC. is donating silent daytimer WRSM-A/SUMITON, AL to JOY CHRISTIAN COMMUNICATIONS. SUMITON had a previous deal to sell the station to AMERICAN TRUST CORP. that the seller claims was in default, and the station, which had been victimized by copper thieves, had a MARCH 30 deadline to return to the air.
And FIRST BROADCASTING is selling the construction permit for KHAL/CONDON, OR to DANNY V. MANCIU's HAYSTACK BROADCASTING, INC. for $45,000. The sale is conditioned on the grant of the station's application to move to a different site.
