The FCC has to collect $312 million in regulatory fees, and it has issued its proposed fiscal year 2008 schedule of fees to do just that.
The new fees follow the same framework as last year's, with the addition of including expanded band AMs, formerly exempt, in the list of licensees required to pay fees. Radio station fees are proposed to range from $650 (up from $625) for a Class A AM serving a population of under 25,000 to $10,200 (up from $9,125) for Class B, C, C0, C1, and C2 stations serving over 3 million people.
