TKO Radio Networks has promoted former CLEAR CHANNEL and CBS Radio programming ace MARTY THOMPSON to VP/Programming. THOMPSON will oversee the development of the company's 24-hour Classic Top 40 format.
"MARTY’s on-air skill and ability to connect with local listeners is bringing #1 ratings to his live 7p-midnight daypart," TKO spokesperson, SUSAN THOMPSON said. "Now we're extremely happy to be able to benefit from his vast programming experience on our 24-hour network expansion
"We have seen tremendous success with the nightly show and we now bring that same dedication to 'getting it right' to our 24-hour brand," THOMPSON said. "What really sets us apart is our people. Top talent like the legendary JOHN RECORDS LANDECKER, ERIC CHASE and JIM ZIPPO ensures we are more than just a one-man show or simply a playlist with some tired old liners that play over and over. Our highly researched playlist and dedication to relevant, compelling, fun content will win over listeners all across AMERICA."
