FCC OKs Two Consent Decrees

The FCC has adopted a Consent Decree entered into between its Enforcement Bureau and WILSON BROADCASTING CO. over public file violations at WJJN/COLUMBIA, AL and WAGF-A-F/DOTHAN, AL. WILSON is making a "voluntary contribution" of $6,500 to the U.S. Treasury as part of the deal, which closes the books on the alleged violations.
In a similar deal, the FCC has adopted a Consent Decree with A RADIO CO., INC. for tower fencing and public file violations at WEGA-A/VEGA BAJA, PR. A RADIO CO. is paying a "voluntary contribution" of $8,000 to the Treasury.
And the Commission canceled two proposed $3,000 fines against SOUTHERN COMMUNICATIONS CORP. for public file violations at WMTD-A and WMTD-F/HINTON, WV but admonished the licensee for the missing documents.
