Senate Votes To Nullify FCC Cross-Ownership Changes

The Senate approved a "resolution of disapproval" THURSDAY evening that nullifies the FCC's DECEMBER media cross-ownership rule revision.
The move, introduced by Sen. BYRON DORGAN (D-ND) and sponsored by 26 other Senators including both Democratic candidates for president, was approved by voice vote; it faces a veto by President BUSH. The House is also considering a similar attempt to nullify the FCC's rule.
