Eddy Arnold Makes History

Congratulations to RCA/NASHVILLE VP/Promotion KEITH GALE and his staff as history is made today. With the appearance of the late EDDY ARNOLD’s “To Life” on the Country charts today (05/20), ARNOLD becomes the only Country artist in history to enjoy chart success in each of the past seven decades. He also has the distinction now of having the longest span of charted Country singles. “Each Minute Seems a Million Years,” charted on JUNE 30th, 1945 and here he is again today, 63-years later, back on the charts. It was his 147th charted single.
GALE said of the honor: “We are so thankful that Country Radio joined us in this tribute to Mr. ARNOLD. We honored the man and his music. And we did it together.”
ARNOLD would have been 90-years old on MAY 15th. He passed on MAY 8th.
