Cell phone audio service FONESHOW inks a deal to develop and distribute original content from veteran talk show host and author AUSTIN HILL. The service, which enables cell phone users to access audio content on demand for free, will offer "AUSTIN HILL'S CAMPAIGN UPDATE 2008," a 60-second daily feature, beginning TODAY (5/20). The feature, scheduled to run through ELECTION DAY, will update the day's campaign news and relate the stories to past campaigns in material from HILL's book "WHITE HOUSE CONFIDENTIAL: THE LITTLE BOOK OF WEIRD PRESIDENTIAL HISTORY."
"I look forward to leveraging FONESHOW's short-form audio format to deliver some fun, witty non-partisan election commentary throughout the summer to their targeted distribution network," said HILL. "The Internet and wireless technology have created new opportunities for all generations, enabling them to access unique content such as this, on the world's most ubiquitous tool -- the mobile phone."
"We are delighted to partner with AUSTIN HILL," added FONESHOW Founder/CEO ERIK SCHWARTZ. "Consumers are in search of audio content that is relevant and timely, while also user-controllable and on-demand. The content AUSTIN will provide to our audience embodies a unique blend of current information, history, and a high level of entertainment value that is best digested in short segments that are ideal for FONESHOW."
HILL is heard evenings on CITADEL Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON and frequently fills in and appears on several networks and stations, including BONNEVILLE Talk KTAR-F/PHOENIX, FOX NEWS TALK, SALEM RADIO NETWORK, and XM SATELLITE RADIO's P.O.T.U.S. 2008. He previously hosted shows at KFYI-A and KKNT-A/PHOENIX and has filled in at KFI-A/LOS ANGELES. Check HILL out at austinhill.net and foneshow.com.
