CRTC OKs Manitoba AM-to-FM Move, New PEI and Ontario Stations

The CBC gets CRTC approval to move CBDS-A/PUKTAWAGAN, MB, a retransmitter of its CBWK-F/THOMPSON, MB, to FM. The new FM transmitter will operate at 102.5 FM with 200 watts ERP. There will be no simulcast period for the station.
The CRTC also approved INTERNATIONAL HARVESTERS FOR CHRIST EVANGELISTIC ASSOCIATION INC.'s application for a low-power station at 91.3 FM in CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI with a retransmitter on 91.1 FM at SUMMERSIDE. The stations, both 50 watts ERP, will air Religious programming, including brokered shows.
And the agency also approved UNITED CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS CANADA's application to add a retransmitter for its Religion CKJJ/BELLEVILLE, ON at 103.5 FM with 250 watts ERP at BANCROFT, ON. The station previously received approval for a rebroadcaster at KINGSTON, ON and has others at BROCKVILLE and COBOURG and has a separate station, CKGW/CHATHAM,ON, which originally served to rebroadcast CKJJ before splitting off in APRIL 2007.
