Report: Former AAR Chairman Montvel-Cohen Arrested

SORENSEN MEDIA GROUP Managing Director and former AIR AMERICA RADIO Chairman EVAN MONTVEL-COHEN has been arrested in GUAM, reports NBC affiliate KUAM-TV/AGANA. MONTVEL-COHEN, who was returning from MANILA when he was arrested at GUAM's airport, was picked up on a warrant from HAWAII for charges including theft, credit card fraud, forgery and money laundering. He was placed under house arrest under $75,000 bond; an extradition hearing is set for JUNE 27th.
MONTVEL-COHEN was one of the primary figures behind the start-up of AIR AMERICA RADIO but later resigned; MONTVEL-COHEN was also involved in the controversy in which the network's parent company took loans from the GLORIA WISE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB in the BRONX, of which MONTVEL-COHEN was Dir. of Development. He faces up to 10 years in prison on the present charges.
