Xhang Creative Issues Challenge To U.S. Radio Stations

"I could have just sent out a bunch of emails, but that’s no fun," said DOUG ZANGER, Founder/Pres. of XHANG CREATIVE, about AMERWECAN, the first of three campaigns to encourage U.S. interest and entries in the LONDON INTERNATIONAL AWARDS. The campaign, which launches TODAY, is positioned specifically for U.S.-based radio stations and companies. "But we think the rest of the world will get the joke," added ZANGER.
AMERWECAN features BRET BRITLAND, a fictional conservative talk show host who waxes poetic about what makes AMERICA and U.S. radio creative so great. The website features 19 audio vignettes and a blog maintained by the dim-witted "pundit" with a heart of gold.
AMERWECAN is the first of three campaigns for the LIA. The second, highlighting the newly-established IDA (It Didn’t Air) Award and the third, yet to be determined (read: not sure what it will be), will launch in the coming weeks.
