New World's Edwin Tornberg Passes Away

NEW WORLD RADIO Chairman EDWIN TORNBERG has died, with the WASHINGTON POST reporting that the station owner passed away due to pulmonary fibrosis on MAY 23 at his home in POTOMAC, MD. He was 82.
TORNBERG's company owns brokered stations WNWR-A/PHILADELPHIA and WUST-A/WASHINGTON, Business WBIS-A (BUSINESS RADIO 1190)/ANNAPOLIS, and Talk WAGE-A/LEESBURG, VA; TORNBERG previously served as a media broker and station owner in several markets.
