June 9, 2008 at 7:29 AM (PT)
BIG MACHINE/NASHVILLE starlet TAYLOR SWIFT has been added to the list of Country artists who will make appearances in "HANNAH MONTANA: The Movie," starring MILEY CYRUS and BILLY RAY CYRUS. SWIFT will be filming a scene today (6/9) where she plays herself performing in a bar. The film is slated
for release in theaters in 2009.
In other TAYLOR news, the TENNESSEAN reports that she signed autographs for eight hours without taking a single break on SATURDAY (6/7) at the NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER during the 2008 CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL. That is the longest signing that an artist has done at the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL since GARTH BROOKS' 23-hour session in 1996.
TAYLOR said: "After you sign autographs for nine hours, it's almost like you feel like you've never ever understood more why you do this than right in that moment. Because you see all these little 5-year-olds that know all the words to your songs and then there's the grandmother that comes through that's telling you a story that almost brings you to tears. It's like you understand exactly why you wanted to do this in the first place."
