Arbitron Catches One Man With Two Diaries
June 9, 2008 at 8:44 AM (PT)
Subscribers to the WINTER 2008 GREENVILLE-NEW BERN-JACKSONVILLE ARBITRON radio market report were sent a letter informing them a duplicate diary was filled out by a 37 year-old man who said he was one of two men living in the household. Wrote ARBITRON:
"ARBITRON has learned that a 'duplicate sex/age' diary included in the in-tab sample for the WINTER 2008 Radio Market Report should be excluded from the sample. The diary contained sex/age information reporting the diarykeeper as one of two 37-year old males in the household, with only one 37 year-old male actually residing in the household."
"A revised WINTER 2008 GREENVILLE-NEW BERN-JACKSONVILLE Radio Market Report, based on an in-tab sample that excludes the duplicate diary, will release on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11th at 10a ET."
"Estimates for WRSV-FM, which received substantial listening in the deleted diary, may be significantly affected. Estimates for stations other than WRSV-FM will not be significantly affected. As a result of sample balancing and reprocessing procedures, however, estimates for other stations in the report may be slightly affected."
