Ofcom Finds Ocean FM Playlist In Breach Of License

GCAP MEDIA AC OCEAN FM/SOUTH HAMPSHIRE, ENGLAND gets slapped with a ruling of formal breach of its license by OFCOM after the agency determined that despite a "yellow card" warning about deviating from its licensed format, the station continued to play too many classic and non-AC tracks.
The station had been warned last year and then issued a "yellow card" in NOVEMBER, but a monitor in JANUARY 2008 found the station exceeding the scope of the AC format. The ruling leaves the "yellow card" in place and may lead to a fine if the station does not conform to the AC format when next monitored.
