Veteran hockey broadcaster BOB BAKKEN has joined the CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE's MISSISSIPPI RIVERKINGS as Media Coordinator. BAKKEN will call all of the MEMPHIS-area team's games and will also coordinate all media relations activities and assist in the team's community relations work, corporate sales and ticket sales. BAKKEN was most recently with the USHL's OMAHA LANCERS and has 14 years of hockey broadcasting under his belt in OMAHA and SIOUX CITY.
"I am excited about becoming a part of the RIVERKINGS hockey tradition,” BAKKEN said. "This is a great organization and I look forward to representing it with the professionalism and passion for hockey that I’ve brought to my broadcasts over the past several years with AMERICA's version of major junior hockey."
RIVERKINGS Director of Business Operations DAVE "AB" MATTICE added, "I think BOB brings a lot of experience to us. He comes highly recommended from several people and I think he’s going to be a great new voice for the RIVERKINGS."
