WGN Adds 4 Radio Partners For 'Neighbors In Need'

TRIBUNE Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO's "Neighbors in Need" program adds JOURNAL Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE, CBS Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS, CBS Talk WCCO-A/MINNEAPOLIS, and INGSTAD Talk KFGO-A/FARGO as partners along with the MCCORMICK FOUNDATION, the CHICAGO TRIBUNE, the CHICAGO CUBS, and TRIBUNE sister CW affiliate WTTV (TV) (CW 4INDIANA)/INDIANAPOLIS to help MIDWEST flooding victims by raising money to help nonprofit agencies in the five impacted states.
"We look out for each other in the MIDWEST," said WGN VP/GM TOM LANGMYER. "That’s why we’re pooling our resources with these great stations across the region to reach out to millions of listeners and get the flood victims the help they need. Radio has a way of reaching people that’s unmatched by any other medium."
The program is taking telephone pledges, mail and online, with the MCCORMICK FOUNDATION matching the first million dollars at 50 cents on the dollar.
