North Out At Chicago's Score

CBS Sports WSCR-A (670 THE SCORE)/CHICAGO morning host MIKE NORTH has been let go after 16 years with the station. NORTH told the CHICAGO TRIBUNE's TEDDY GREENSTEIN that he was told TUESDAY morning that the station had withdrawn its final offer, which he said hadn't changed since APRIL. "I don't understand why they took the offer off the table," NORTH told GREENSTEIN. "It leads you to believe they have had this in their minds all along."
On his website, which remained linked to the SCORE's own site as of WEDNESDAY morning, NORTH told listeners, "I am now done at the SCORE. I met with management this past FRIDAY and since I wouldn't accept the deal they offered; they told me I wasn't allowed to be on the air anymore."
NORTH joined THE SCORE, then at 820 AM, as a radio neophyte, a local hot dog stand owner with strong opinions on the local sports franchises.
