BONNEVILLE AAA KSWD (THE SOUND)/LOS ANGELES has launched an innovative "Now Playing" feature as part of its advertising campaign on the CLEAR CHANNEL Digital Outdoor Network in LOS ANGELES. Now billboards alongside busy LOS ANGELES streets and freeways resemble listeners’ mp3 players by displaying the title and artist of the song now being played on 100.3 THE SOUND.
"THE SOUND experience is about the musical discovery that happens when each song is played on the station," commented THE SOUND Dir./Marketing-Advertising SAMMY SIMPSON. "By utilizing RDS (RADIO DATA SYSTEM) technology along with the capabilities of the digital outdoor network, we are able to extend that experience into our marketing efforts to offer instant gratification for our consumers."
The messages run on LED screens in eight-second spots in a 24-hour rotation, with eight advertisers rotating continuously. The images are static.
