CRTC OKs Four Deals

The CRTC has approved the sales of four stations, giving the official OK to LA RADIO COMMUNAUTAIRE DE WINDSOR ET REGION INC.'s purchase of French-language community FM CIAX/WINDSOR, ON from CARREFOUR JEUNESSE-ENPLOI COMTE JOHNSON; COOPERATIVE DES TRAVAILLEURS CHNC's purchase of French Classic Rock-Country CHNC-A/NEW CARLISLE, QC and its simulcast CHGM-A/GASPE, QC from RADIO CHNC LTEE. (the stations have permits to move to FM); GOLDEN WEST BROADCASTING LTD.'s buy of Alternative CFEQ (FREQ 107)/WINNIPEG from KESITAH INC.; and CORUS' sale of French Talk CHRC-A (INFO 800)/QUEBEC CITY to the LES REMPARTS DE QUEBEC junior hockey club.
The agency also approved the CBC's application to add four new frequencies for the shortwave operation CKCX/SACKVILLE, NB.
