Former Talker Convicted Of Murdering Wife

Former Talk KLIK-A/JEFFERSON CITY, MO "PARTY LINE" midday host JAMES KEOWN has been convicted of murdering his wife. KEOWN, who was charged with killing his wife JULIE in SEPTEMBER 2004 by spiking her GATORADE with anti-freeze, was sentenced to life without parole by MIDDLESEX (MA) Superior Court Judge SANDRA HAMLIN after a jury found KEOWN guilty of the crime, which prosecutors alleged KEOWN committed for $250,000 in insurance money.
KEOWN, also known in his radio career as J.P. O'NEILL, previously worked at KMBZ-A and KCMO-A in KANSAS CITY, WMVP-A (ESPN 1000)/CHICAGO, and WRKO-A/BOSTON in various production, web, marketing, programming and on-air capacities before joining KLIK. His conviction came after a two-week trial and a day-and-a-half of deliberations.
