The BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA has named JIM THOMPSON as its new President, effective AUGUST 4th. Last OCTOBER, BFA began a search for a new President to continue the work of its current leader, GORDON H. HASTINGS.
"JIM's leadership abilities and his knowledge of the broadcast industry, makes him the ideal candidate for this position," said BFA Chairman and head of the search committee PHILIP J. LOMBARDO.
"I am honored and excited to take on this role with the BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA," THOMPSON said. "I'm grateful to PHILIP and the search committee for giving me this opportunity to continue the foundation’s mission of helping broadcasters in need."
