Yes, that was JOE MARTELLE back on the BOSTON airwaves for the first time in nearly a decade, guesting on CBS News-Talk WBZ-A SATURDAY night-SUNDAY morning with overnighter JORDAN RICH.
MARTELLE, promoting his upcoming book "RADIO PRO" and discussing his years on BOSTON radio and his 2004 voice loss, was making his first radio appearance in about four years and was held over for 90 minutes, with callers flooding the WBZ lines to talk to MARTELLE about their memories of his days on the air in the market.
MARTELLE started at WROR/BOSTON in 1979 for nights, then moved to mornings solo, followed by a decade-long stint teamed with the late ANDY MOES as one of the city's most popular morning shows. He soloed for three years and moved to afternoons in 1995; he later moved to KLDE/HOUSTON and WEAT-F (SUNNY 104.3)/WEST PALM BEACH.
