UMG Ups Bell To VP/Adv. Tech For eLabs

UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP has promoted CHRISTOPHER BELL to VP/Advanced Technology for the company's ELABS new media and strategic research and development unit. In his new post, BELL will continue to provide technical insight to support all ELABS initiatives, and focus on mobile music distribution platforms and emerging social network opportunities, including the development of new applications for engaging music fans.
BELL, who joined UMG in 2004, was most recently Sr. Dir./Advanced Technology for ELABS. Prior to that, he was the Chief Technology Officer for the PEOPLE 2 PEOPLE GROUP, a telecommunications and publishing company based in BOSTON.
