WARNER MUSIC GROUP has struck a deal with mobile content provider SENDME MOBILE, allowing consumers to download artist ringtones, video ringers and wallpapers from the label on SENDME's website, writes MEDIAPOST.COM. The agreement spans music acts including BLAKE SHELTON, FAITH HILL, DISTURBED, VIC and DRAGONFORCE. "WARNER skews heavily to a demographic in hip-hop and rap more than other labels, so we're thrilled to add them to our catalog," said SENDME Co-Founder/CEO RUSSELL KLEIN.
With WARNER on board, SENDME now has licensing deals with three of the four major labels, including UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP and EMI.
"We look for unique ways to partner with content sources, not only to drive more financial value, but to drive the brand awareness and sizzle that they're looking for on behalf of their artists," said KLEIN.
