Hurricane Dolly Hits South Texas
July 23, 2008 at 7:41 AM (PT)
As hurricane DOLLY nears becoming a catagory 2, stations in the path of the storm prepare for both informing their audience -- and dealing with the storm themselves.
CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC KHKZ/MCALLEN-BROWNSVILLE PD J. CANTU told ALL ACCESS, "We have a plan in place every year. Before the start of the season we gather of all the information needed. During the storm we stay on live 24/7 and relay all news prior, during and after the hurricane, including evac and shelters. We are also tied in with the local ABC news affiliate, which is right next door so we are able to get the meteorologists live on the air and all of their reporters from the field."
Here's hoping all our friends in SOUTH TEXAS are okay TODAY.
