The Fly Gives New Meaning To 'Co-Ed Dorms'

ALBANY BROADCASTING Top 40/Mainstream WFLY/ALBANY's "FLY Morning Rush" has kicked off a five-week "Last Student Standing," where contestants were interviewed to qualify for a "BIG BROTHER"-type survival test. The chosen contestants were housed in a dorm (a.k.a. FCC -- FLY COMMUNITY COLLEGE), where they undertake immunity challenges, after which the "students" vote one and other out. The dorm is mic’d up and being broadcast on the station's website.
This reality TV show-for-the-radio got off to a wild start in the first week. A gay hairdressing student and a recovering 20-year-old alcoholic (who just got out of rehab) have already left the dorm. But the piece de resistance is a female "student" who is transitioning to become a man. She-to-be-he just announced the news to the house (and FLY listeners) last night. He hopes to win the Last Student Standing and its over $50,000 in prizes to help pay for the final surgeries.
