MICHAEL SAVAGE's lawsuit against the COUNCIL ON AMERICAN-ISLAMIC RELATIONS for copyright infringement and racketeering has been dismissed.
U.S. District Judge SUSAN ILLSTON ruled that CAIR's use of the audio if a segment of his show in a campaign to get advertisers to boycott him was fair use under copyright law and that SAVAGE had not shown that the boycott had affected his TALK RADIO NETWORK show. She also rejected SAVAGE's assertion that CAIR is a political group with terrorist ties rather than a civil rights group.
