T.I. And The Hip Hop Caucus Get Out The Vote

THE HIP HOP CAUCUS and GRAMMY AWARD winning recording artist T.I. have joined together to launch a powerful new voter registration and “Get Out The Vote” campaign which combines celebrity power with media and twenty-first century grassroots organizing tactics. This effort is designed to mobilize and educate young voters between the ages of 18-29, who are not in college.
The campaign slogan is “RESPECT MY VOTE!” The slogan and t-shirts were unveiled TODAY (7/29) at a press event in WASHINGTON D.C. On hand to lend their support were hip hop icons, RAKIM and BUN B., DJ GREEN LANTERN, DAWN from DANITY KANE, YOUNG BERG, MAINO, YOUNG STEFF, YOUNG DRO, WASHINGTON WIZARD ETAN THOMAS, OLYMPIC GOLD Medalist ANTHONY KILLEBREW,IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, KIDS IN THE HALL, BIG KUNTRY, PLEASURE P, world class sprinter and champion MICHAEL WALTON and many others.
The campaign, led by T.I. will involve other celebrities, athletes and high profile influential figures. It will includes PSAs for radio, television and online use, in-person appearance, press events, mobile and email alerts from celebrities themselves along with an aggressive online campaign. Confirmed participating talent will be announced throughout the campaign leading up to the NOVEMBER election.
