The NHL's COLORADO AVALANCHE and the NBA's DENVER NUGGETS are moving from LINCOLN FINANCIAL Sports KKFN-A-F (104.3 THE FAN)/DENVER to crosstown MILE HIGH SPORTS RADIO Sports KCKK-A for the 2008-09 season, with the teams' owner KROENKE SPORTS ENTERPRISES producing the broadcasts. The deal includes an option for KCKK to carry MLS COLORADO RAPIDS soccer and NLL COLORADO MAMMOTH lacrosse.
"Today we are excited to be able to announce the new radio partner of the AVALANCHE and NUGGETS," said KSE EVP PAUL ANDREWS "At the same time, I would be remiss if we didn’t also recognize and thank 104.3 THE FAN for their having carried our games since 1995."
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with KROENKE SPORTS ENTERPRISES. The synergies and dedication to excellence of both companies will result in a great partnership and will benefit sports fans across the FRONT RANGE," said MILE HIGH SPORTS RADIO CEO KEVIN MEDINA.
