The CINCINNATI ENQUIRER is reporting that Hot AC WNNF (RADIO 94.1) and Classic Rock WOFX (92.5 THE FOX)/CINCINNATI are the two stations being offered for sale or swap by CLEAR CHANNEL in a spinoff required as part of the parent company's buyout and merger last week.
ROBERT RIGGSBEE, the head of a local ad buying agency, tells the ENQUIRER's JOHN ECKBERG that he hears, "At least a few broadcast companies are involved in a swap/sale agreement, and from what I'm hearing, that deal is not done and it's a much bigger deal than people realize." BONNEVILLE, ENTERCOM, and CUMULUS, which own stations in the market, are cited by RIGGSBEE as possible players in a swap deal.
