WYRD Fined For Public File Omissions

Honesty leads to a fine on ENTERCOM Talk WYRD-A (simulcast of WORD-A)/GREENVILLE, SC, which gets nailed for $3,000 for public file violations.
The station admitted in its license renewal application that some quarterly issues/programs lists lists for the second and third quarters of 2000 and the third and fourth quarters of 2001 were missing from the file, but said that it had recreated the lists from station records, had placed the lists in the file, and instructed station personnel so that it would not happen again. The Commission, which issued the initial fine in 2004, ruled that the remedial measures did not warrant cancelling or reducing the fine.
