DAN TOOKER In The Morning on CITADEL Top 40 KZMG (MAGIC 93.1)BOISE pulled a marathon 12-hour airshift on FRIDAY (8/8) "Play Anything Day." Listeners called in and paid to have their requests -- no matter how obsure -- played, with the proceeds going to PROJECT PLAY, a local charity that builds playgrounds for physically disabled children.
Everything from HATEBREED and DONNY OSMOND to KEITH URBAN and JUDY GARLAND got a spin, including many local artists. In addition, TRAVIS from WE THE KINGS was in town for the WARPED TOUR, and he stopped by to get "Check Yes Juliet" on the air. And the parents of an eight-year-old won her an interview with NICK JONAS of the JONAS BROTHERS.
Props to DAN TOOKER and his crew, who raised $20,000. They'll be on hand to dedicate the new playground on SEPTEMBER 27th.
