Former Employee Sues Magic Broadcasting Over Non-Compete, Staff Re-Surfaces Already

As ALL ACCESS reported on JULY 22nd (link), just about the entire staff walked off their jobs at MAGIC BROADCASTING Country WTVY/DOTHAN, including morning personalities AMIE POLLARD and KEN CARLILE, midday dude “BIG” MIKE CASEY, and evening jock ELIZABETH PARRISH.
Since then they have been battling with their former station about ‘non-compete’ issues, and today that has turned into a full-blown lawsuit, filed in HOUSTON COUNTY COURT against MAGIC BROADCASTING, the owners of WTVY. The suit is being filed by ALANA D.KING, a former sales person at the station, through her attorney.
KING is also battling with the station over a non-compete agreement. To read the entire story click here.
Meanwhile, POLLARD and CARLILE will debut tomorrow (08/13) on GULF SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS Classic Country WDBT/DOTHAN as POLLARD and KC. Also from WTVY, ELIZABETH PARRISH will handle nights, and ROY FOX (already in place at WDBT), will take on middays on a temporary basis.
POLLARD tells ALL ACCESS that while afternoon drive is vacant for now, she's looking for a PM drive personality ASAP. Send your T&R's to them at email@example.com.
