The AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE's WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS ink a multi-year deal with ENTERCOM AAA WDMT (102.3 THE MOUNTAIN)/PITTSTON-SCRANTON-WILKES-BARRE. All regular season and playoff games will air on THE MOUNTAIN, as well as a THURSDAY night "PENGUINS REPORT" show. The deal also includes cross-promotion on all of ENTERCOM's local stations. SCOTT STUCCIO will handle play-by-play as well as hosting chores for the weekly show. The team was formerly heard on crosstown SHAMROCK Sports WEJL-A-WBAX-A (ESPN RADIO 630 AND 1240).
"We are extremely excited about teaming up with ENTERCOM and THE MOUNTAIN," said team President RICH HIXON. "This new partnership allows the team to reach across demographic lines by working with ENTERCOM's family of stations, and will aid PENGUINS fans throughout NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA in easily finding us on the radio dial."
"We are proud to be the flagship station for the WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON PENGUINS," said ENTERCOM VP and Market Manager RYAN FLYNN. "This addition adds depth to the Mountain brand and enhances our market position."
