HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling the construction permit for new noncommercial FM WDVL/DANVILLE, IN to CALVARY CHAPEL OF CRAWFORDSVILLE, INC. for $14,951.68. The buyer owns low power FM WVRG-LP/CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN, which it will spin off to become a student-run station at its MARANATHA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL before acquiring WDVL.
In other deals filed with the FCC, STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION is assigning Religion WMYR-A/FT. MYERS, FL, Religion WCNZ-A and Oldies WVOI-A/MARCO ISLAND, FL, Religion WZRK-A/LAKE GENEVA, WI, and Religion WZUM-A/CARNEGIE-PITTSBURGH, PA to SOVEREIGN CITY RADIO SERVICES in exchange for cancellation of a $8,057,519.89 promissory note and payment of another promissory note and lease agreements. The buyer's MARK C. FOLLETT is also Chairman and CEO of the seller's wholly-owned subsidiary ADVANCE ACQUISITION, INC.
SOUTHERN VERMONT COLLEGE has filed the paperwork for the previously-announced sale of Talk WBTN-A/BENNINGTON, VT to SHIRES MEDIA PARTNERSHIP for $100,000. The deal, which followed a protracted attempt by the school to find a local buyer for the AM station, was announced in MAY.
