RESORT BROADCASTING CO. Talk WGMD/REHOBOTH BEACH, DE afternoon host BILL COLLEY made it all the way to WASHINGTON on his bike to deliver petitions to Congress and the Senate demanding that the legislators approve offshore oil exploration, drilling on ALASKA's North Slope, extraction of western oil shale, and harvesting of coal stores for use in synthetic diesel.
COLLEY arrived WEDNESDAY after riding over 120 miles over three days and was escorted to the House floor, where he was greeted by House Minority Leader JOHN BOEHNER and spoke to Rep. JIM GERLACH (R-PA). DELAWARE's own Congressman MIKE CASTLE (R-DE), who hasn't returned COLLEY's calls, sent an aide to take the petitions, which included 1,700 signatures.
COLLEY tells ALL ACCESS, "Most Talk hosts talk-the-talk. A few walk-the-walk. I biked it."
