WESTWOOD ONE has inked a renewal deal to continue to distribute NBC NEWS RADIO and the radio version of NBC's "MEET THE PRESS." The deal covers the one-minute hourly newscasts 6a-10p ET weekdays and the weekly SUNDAY noon ET airing of "MEET THE PRESS." The parties also plan to launch new NBC NEWS radio products as well as using material from the NBC RADIO archives.
"WESTWOOD ONE has been a terrific partner, and we are so pleased to continue this relationship," said NBC NEWS President STEVE CAPUS. "We are in the midst of an incredibly busy news cycle with no signs of letting up any time soon. Being able to reach people on a regular basis via a trusted source like WESTWOOD ONE is critical to keep ahead of the stories and rise above the clutter of a crowded media landscape."
"We are thrilled to extend our 20 year relationship with NBC NEWS, and exclusively offer affiliates news coverage only available through the worldwide resources of NBC NEWS and MSNBC," said WESTWOOD ONE President and CEO THOMAS BEUSSE. "As we enter the pivotal fall presidential campaign, our audience and advertisers will continue to benefit from the NBC NEWS brand, programming, and correspondents."
