International Songwriting Contest Now Accepting Entries

The 2008 INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION (ISC), based in NASHVILLE, is accepting entries online for all genres of music now through OCTOBER 15th. The annual contest judges song submissions based on creativity, originality, lyrics, melody and arrangement, and offers winners over $150,000 in cash prizes and international exposure to music industry professionals.
Judges this year include artists/songwriters CRAIG MORGAN, LORETTA LYNN, ROB THOMAS of MATCHBOX 20, MICHAEL W. SMITH, "WEIRD AL" YANKOVIC, ROBERT SMITH of THE CURE and CHAKA KHAN. Music industry executive judges include SONY BMG/NASHVILLE Executive VP RENEE BELL, LOST HIGHWAY RECORDS VP/A&R KIM BUIE and ROBBINS ENTERTAINMENT Founder/President CORY ROBBINS, among others.
The "Overall Grand Prize Winner" will receive $25,000 cash and $20,000 in prizes, and the "First Place Winner" in each genre will receive $3,000 in prizes. Both the "Grand Prize" and "First Place" winners will be included on the ISC COMPILATION CD distributed to publishers, record label executives, film and TV supervisors and media in the music industry.
