FCC Chief of the Office of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis CATHERINE BOHIGIAN is exiting the Commission on SEPTEMBER 5th for a job at CABLEVISION SYSTEMS CORP. BOHIGIAN was named to her post in 2005 after serving as Chairman KEVIN MARTIN's Senior Legal Advisor and as Legal Advisor for media issues since 2001.
MARTIN said, "The Commission and I are very fortunate to have benefited from CATHERINE's insight and expertise. She has been one of my closest advisors since I came to the Commission in 2001, and I have relied on her knowledge of telecom policy and the law on every major issue that has come before the Commission. She has been instrumental in achieving many important policy goals for the benefit of American consumers. CATHERINE has been with me since I arrived at the Commission, and I have appreciated her judgment and dedication for the last seven years. She is an irreplaceable advisor and a good friend. I will miss her greatly."
