The ACM (ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC) has made an $850,000 donation to it's ACM CHARITABLE FUND, which "privately provides grants to promote music education and to organizations that focus on healing through music." Many of the ACM's events benefit the FUND, such as the annual MOTORCYCLE RIDE, GOLF CLASSIC and the NEW ARTISTS' PARTY FOR A CAUSE.
In other ACM news, ERIN SPAHN has joined the staff as Director of the ACM CHARITABLE FUND, where she will provide "a resourceful in-house link between the FUND's Board and the day-to-day activities and work of the ACADEMY's Board and staff." ERIN will be based in ENCINO, CA and will report to ACADEMY Executive Director BOB ROMEO and the FUND's Chairman, DENNIS LORD.
