Jimmy Wayne Sends His Shorts Through Security
September 26, 2008 at 7:45 AM (PT)
THE VALORY MUSIC CO./NASHVILLE artist JIMMY WAYNE had a recent brush with the law while at a CALIFORNIA airport. After setting off the security checkpoint alarm several times, a tired and bleary-eyed WAYNE thought the TSA officer told him to remove his shorts, when in fact he told him to remove whatever was in his shorts (change, phone, etc.). Doing as he thought he was told, he sent his shorts down the conveyor belt as he stood there in boxers and a sweatshirt.
Apparently the TSA officers didn't find the misunderstanding funny as WAYNE spent about half an hour handcuffed in his boxers while trying to explain the situation. Everything was eventually cleared up and he was allowed to put on his shorts and catch his flight.
