Mason Munoz Says Goodbye For His Dad On WRXP
September 26, 2008 at 2:32 PM (PT)
EMMIS AAA WRXP/NEW YORK morning hosts MATT PINFIELD and PD LESLIE FRAM talked this morning with MASON MUNOZ, son of legendary NEW YORK radio icon SCOTT MUNI. MASON talked about his father’s life and his contributions to Rock radio in New York, then offered the "goodbye" that he says his father never had a chance to say.
"He loved music, loved the music he played, loved being a vehicle for people to discover new music," said MUNOZ. "He got up everyday and loved going to work. Obviously he didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his audience. One of the things I would like to do is tell the listeners, ‘Thank You.’ He had a great time, he had a great run ... it was a two-way street. He got a lot of love back from people and that meant so much to him."
