As ALL ACCESS first hinted yesterday, (NET NEWS 9/30), former CLEAR CHANNEL/SAN FRANCISCO SVP/West Coast ED KRAMPF has joined CBS/TAMPA, as SVP/Market Mgr. replacing SVP/Market Mgr. CHARLIE OCHS (NET NEWS 9/18).
KRAMP, who begins his new duties on MONDAY (10/6), will be overseeing Country WQYK, Oldies WRBQ, Smooth Jazz WSJT, Spanish Contemporary WYUU (LA NUEVA 92.5) and Top 40/Rhythmic WLLD (WILD 98.7).
He told ALL ACCESS, "After looking at many different opportunities, I wanted to return to doing what I feel best at and truly enjoy the most ... and that's running winning stations. I look at being part of the solution of generating more revenue for this market, and to help (CBS President/CEO) DAN MASON to reverse the trends of the last few years of radio in general. Radio is a great value proposition, and it's time to get the value back into radio again with creative, winning programming combined with a strong sales effort."
CBS RADIO EVP/Operations SCOTT HERMAN said, "DAN MASON and I are thrilled to be adding someone of ED's outstanding experience level to our roster of senior managers. He is not only a seasoned, successful manager, but is also a well-known and well-respected veteran of the radio industry making him uniquely qualified for this position. I look forward to working with him."
