FCC Modifies WTIC Protection
November 5, 2008 at 11:47 AM (PT)
The FCC has limited protection of CBS Talk WTIC-A/HARTFORD's extended daytime operation to groundwave signal only in a move that allows upgrades of the signals of 1090 INVESTMENTS Religion WCAR-A (DETROIT CATHOLIC RADIO)/LIVONIA, MI and Silent WOAP-A/WAVERLY, MI.
WTIC has a license allowing it to remain at nondirectional daytime operation until sunset in DALLAS, where CBS News-Talk KRLD-A is a co-channel operation to WTIC. The Commission noted that two other stations already encroach on the skywave signal of WTIC's extended daytime pattern.
