GREATER MEDIA Classic Rocker WCSX/DETROIT announces veteran radio personalities JEFF DEMINSKI and BILL DOYLE as the new morning team. The popular morning duo will officially begin their new weekday show, which will air from 6-10a, on MONDAY, JANUARY 5th, 2009. D&D previously worked at crosstown CBS Sports WXYT-A-F (97.1 THE TICKET) and its predecessor, Talk WKRK (LIVE 97.1 FREE FM) since 1999, and for six years before that at Talk WKXW (NEW JERSEY 101.5)/TRENTON
"We are thrilled to have such a popular DETROIT radio team join us on the country's legendary Cassic Rock station," said Market Manager JOHN GALLAGHER "The combination of DEMINSKI & DOYLE in the morning and the Motor City's only home for classic rock all day will prove to be a dominant force in Detroit radio."
"I have always had a lot of respect for both JEFF and BILL and their many accomplishments," said DOUG PODELL, GREATER MEDIA/DETROIT Dir./Rock Programming. "Their incredible work ethic and their passion for radio will be a great fit with our loyal listeners at WCSX."
"We wanted so badly to stay in DETROIT, we chose unemployment for a year to honor our non-compete clause," said DEMINSKI. "A year is one thing, but this WCSX opportunity is the chance of a lifetime. DOUG PODELL is a legend who sees things others cannot and will be the best program director I have ever worked for in my radio career."
"I'm incredibly excited to be part of the GREATER MEDIA Family," added DOYLE. "I'm looking forward to working for the premier radio company in the market, a company that locally manages their stations and has realized amazing success because of it."
