Judge Rules For Savage On CAIR Legal Fees Claim

TALK RADIO NETWORK host MICHAEL SAVAGE may have struck out with his copyright infringement and RICO lawsuit against the COUNCIL ON AMERICAN-ISLAMIC RELATIONS, but he did win a victory against CAIR's attempt to force him to pay attorney's fees and costs. CAIR tried to get the court to term SAVAGE's case, which he withdrew, as frivolous, but U.S. District Court Judge SUSAN ILLSTON, a CLINTON appointee, ruled that SAVAGE's suit was not frivolous despite the outcome, and denied CAIR's claim, which would have totaled close to $200,000.
SAVAGE said that the case was "a huge victory for me, personally, but also for the rest of America who is afraid of this lawsuit-happy group of intimidators." He called the judge a "bona fide liberal, yet she followed the law in the fees motion.... CAIR tried to tell her in their claim that she 'should get' me, because they were all liberals. You have to read their sloppy claim to believe it. Now, people will not be afraid to file suits if they have a legitimate claim against CAIR or some (financier GEORGE) SOROS-funded group."
