For the fourth year in a row, PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS' BOB AND TOM SHOW and the USO are teaming to provide deployed service members with care packages this holiday season, plus a bonus, a special compilation CD of bits, "GREETINGS FROM THE USA," underwritten by NAPA AUTO PARTS. Since 2005, the show has raised over $580,000 and sponsored more than 23,200 care packages.
Each care package includes at minimum an AT&T prepaid international phone card, snacks, playing cards, reading material, camo kits containing shampoo, conditioner, sun block, hand sanitizer, tooth paste, tooth brush, sunscreen and other requested and needed items. Each donor can also include a personal message thanking troops for their service and sacrifice.
"We are extremely pleased to support Operation USO Care Package this holiday season," said BOB and TOM in a statement issued through PREMIERE and the USO. "The men and women of the U.S. armed forces risk their lives every day and we are proud to offer our audience the chance to personally thank our deployed service members for their service and sacrifice."
"The USO care package program is possible because of the support of The BOB AND TOM SHOW and its audience," said USO OF METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON DC President and Worldwide Administrator for Operation USO Care Package ELAINE ROGERS. "With the support of BOB AND TOM's listeners service members around the world will know they have not been forgotten this holiday season."
