Nielsen Doubles Up In Huntsville

NIELSEN has confirmed that it will monitor the HUNTSVILLE, AL market twice a year in its upcoming ratings ratings. The 49 other markets involved in the CUMULUS and CLEAR CHANNEL deal will receive only one survey per year.
NIELSEN spokesman GARY HOLMES reportedly attributed the anomaly to the fact that HUNTSVILLE, at market #108,"was large enough to support two surveys." Curiously, LEXINGTON, KY -- market #104 -- will only get one survey a year.
