Overgrown Trees Won't Stop Christmas At The Joneses

Country legend GEORGE JONES and his wife NANCY are known for their festively-decorated yard at their FRANKLIN, TN home around CHRISTMAS. The TENNESSEAN reports that their yard will once again get all decked out for the holidays, after fear of cutting overgrown trees threatened the annual ritual.
GEORGE wanted to trim his BRADFORD pear trees to keep them healthy, but his wife NANCY was concerned that the trimming would be too extensive to wrap them for their holiday display. She had decided to forego decorating the yard, but "couldn't live with that decision."
NANCY said: "I guess I tried to be Mrs. SCROOGE, and I just can't do it. You hear people say, 'This is going to be our CHRISTMAS; this is where we're coming.' With the economy being as bad, I guess I thought there probably wouldn't be people coming, but maybe this is going to be the only CHRISTMAS some people will have, watching our CHRISTMAS lights, so I'm bringing it back."
Their infamous display includes SANTA and his reindeer, a seven-foot rocking chair and a large Christmas tree. For more on this story, click here.
